I also think I would try to get square pots, that way space is used more efficiently. More space can be filled with dirt.

Or use rectangular planters, but then you don't have control over individual plants.
I use 3 gallon square tubs that are deeper than they are wide. They have wire handles too- very easy to deal with.Quote:

Probably, but I would be more likely to use two or three of those for that space. You can't give your roots too much room to play.
