There is really nothing wrong with distilled water.. it is VERY safe..

BUT!!!!!!! there is nothing in it.. it is probably PH 7.0 with ZERO PPM

This can basically stop a plant from growing.. It will just kinda freeze in time.. and then slowly DIE. very slowly...

What kind of soil are you using? WHat brand? Do you know the starting PH of your soil...?

Are you flowering NOW..
If your plants are 2 months old.. you should be flowering NOW? correct?

my plants are not gonna flower. i'm using them as donors. they are continuously growing. I think what happen is that i didn't use perlite on the 1 gallon pot, and then i transplated but i used perlite on the 2 gallon pot. so my guess would be that the hard soil came from the 1 gallon pot without extra perlite.

its still growing about 1/4-1/2 inch a day. should i break up hard surface with a fork?

You mean a mother plant? Is it going to be used for clones..?

I am starting to think hat the leaves on the bottom are turniing yellow because they are not getting enough light... very very common

Is your plant Spindly?

I would not break up the soil with a fork..for that to be effective you would have to go deep enough that it woould also damage the roots..

If it is something you really want to take care of.. you should transplant.. using a 80-20 - soil/perlite mixture..

yep just at they said,break up the up the surface,i do that ever day,the day after i have watered,really helps them,out.pece bh/

USE YOUR FINGER! not a fork, you can damage the roots

your soil should never be hard. this will effect the growth of your plant in a negative way

I am having the same problem, so I worked up the the hard soil with fingers.. Very hard not to upset the roots.. I added more soil and perlite (pre made mix). My pots are large and i kept mine in these pots since babys.. I have heard that this is not good for the bitch. Because the nutes in the soil breaks break down..

I was using Canna Terra Flores, i am now using cannazym and the flores and a booster.. Canazymis supposed to break up dead roots.. I should have used this earlier... Maybe, i have not seen them perk up yet, so the Jury is still out.. Let you know..
