so what do i do i got half a plant in a cup of water with no roots and its one leaves are starting to change color to a yellowish silver do i need to buy root hormones or what i got the basic idea of cloning but is this any different

There is a guy named Mobay on here. If memory serves me (and it does not often...lol) He talked about purposely breaking your plant. Bending it until it snapped, then taping it back together.
I am not sure if it would work now, but I would try taping it back together and getting it back in your pot.
