as do I, too much flavour isn't always a good thing. it would sound better with out any tomatoes and franks, I have never had canned tomatoes tho, we always have fresh ones.

Sounds good, but I'll agree with spicoli about the three cans of tomatoes; one would suffice for me, but definately add the Franks! (Good stuff)
I don't think 1 can of tomatoes would over power the dip, I look for a balanced mix when I cook things up, so...
Then again, I've never tried it your way, so 3 cans may be great! ;)

lol its cool, canned isnt that bad. but me and my hunny are tomato freaks so thats why i use 3 diff style tomatoes, the spices just blend perfect since its mexican style.....u should c my chili recipe!

1 lbs cubed beef
three cans diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 box Swanson beef broth
1 small can tomatoe paste
2 packages brown's chili seasoning
Quick recipe, but it's still VERY good!
ok heres the recipe and ill post a chick.dump recipe as well of mine.

best damn chili
grab big pot
3 cans bushes chili starter
2 big cans bushes chili beans
2lbs ground meat
1 package cream cheese
1 can mexican style stewed tomatoes
1 can chili style diced tomatoes
3 rotel cans (any flavor will do, specially if it says chili ready)
1/2 onion sauteed in butter
3 dabs sour cream
4 tablespoons franks red hot sauce
1 medium can green chiles
put everything in pot except meat and onion and put on medium
meanwhile brown beef and sauteed onion in small amount of butter
transfer to pot and put temp on low for next hour until cream cheese is melted and texture is thick
serve with chips, crackas, or shredded cheese and enjoy!
and heres my chick.dumps recipe
crock pot chickdumps
close to homemade chicken and dumplings!
grab crock pot
4 boneless chicken breast halves
2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery
1 can chicken broth
1/2 cup celery chopped up
1/2 cup carrots chopped up
1/2 onion chopped up
2 tablespoons franks red hot sauce
1 big package refridgerated biscuit dough (no butter anything in biscuits!)
~put chicken in crock pot, DO NOT CUT UP CHICKEN
~put everything else in crock pot cept for biscuit dough and set on high for next 4 hrs then u take biscuit dough and tear into pieces and put in crock pot, put on low for next 2 hrs and serve with mashed potatoes and toast!
you will know dumplings are done when they sink to bottom after stirring, chicken will shred in crock pot. enjoy!
