I'm using an ozonelite and it doesn't completely get rid of the smell. The linked bulb seems to use the same technology and is a lot cheaper, there's a titanium coating on the bulb that destroys odors and bacteria.

It's an ion thing.
My cfl's run hot. I use it on my clones .The cfl keeps the medium warm. It works way better then regular flouro's. But I use a 150 watt output cfl.I think it's like 65 watts.If you have a heat pad it doesn't matter.
I just put my odor bulb in front of the air outlet and increased the airflow and it really seems to be eliminating all of the odors.

I pondered why mine seems to work fine, and others didn't have such good results ... my cabinet does not have nearly as much airflow as I had hoped for, I will need to be getting a better fan arrangement ... so, the bulbs have more time to treat the cabinet air ... if I had better airflow, it is possible the bulbs wont work as well ... ??? ... just a theory, but it might explain the differences ... :smokin:
Well I think that if the air moving out of the area is flowing over the bulb, the odors will be eliminated much better.
how much heat does it give off?
there is a company now that makes a spray on titanium dioxide coating.. reccomends you use it on everything that comes in contact with UV light.. like kitchen countertops and stuff.. it comes in an aresol can and I can probably dig up a link if necessary.. Im thinking of spraying it on the mylar.. Their ad says it lasts a year.
Im pretty sure these lights are ozone creating lights (not ion) but I cant remember where I read that..
