it looks like a muphet baby.
there was an article in chez nous (french magazine) in which an artist made grotesque sculptures of hideously disfigured humans as a warning against genetically breeding humans with animals. I thought that was one of them.
Edit: it was probably dead in the picture. It died 30 mins after it was born, i doubt it they would be carrying it around that soon.

That's crazy... and what is even more crazy is that they are parading it around like it's some freak of nature. Which I mean, it's looks are freaky, but I just feel sorry for (it?)
