You can yes....and if you need to cut back when they are young you can feed them 15 on every hour in the dark and run it back to full on when the lights are on. :thumbsup:Quote:

one example: plant 1 in a drip system with a 1 1/2 hour on/off (on a 24hour timer) with 2-6'' airstones, I noticed leafs looking like they have nute lock out or deficiency, or even look burnt. The roots began to brown and root rot eventually took over.
example 2: plant 2 in a drip system with 24/7 drip schedule, WITHOUT any air stones, I noticed the roots were really healthy, and grow very nicely, with no problems what so ever.
I do believe that a max 30min on/off schedule or 24/7 cycle causes roots to penetrate to the res. alot easier. With a longer cycle, roots often don't make it too far out of the container, and to the water, and barely hang. I noticed they have also gotten root bound in the bottom of the netcups, just around the rim. making them interweave and tangle, causing them to become in an 'O' shape, about an inch thick all around. Just from what I've seen. Could be other factors.
just lower your ppms is all you need to do plants that size on a continues drip under a 1000 watt light should only be at about 400 ppm give or take 200 depending on the strain.
