What ID is accePted in Amsterdam

Hey Dutchy do you know the prices of the coffee shops,and the reason i need to know what ID is accepted for is because my 16 yr old cousin is also coming with me and a few other mates and i dont want to leave him outside if he cant get served but when i was in the chat room someone said it is easy to get served and they are not really botherd,is this true?also do you think they would accept a National Identification Card?

Amsterdam is a very pretty city well what i have seen of the pics,dutchy i also seen some other pictures you posted in another forum and there is more to amsterdam than just the coffee shops :D

You have to be 18 or older to get served at a coffeeshop.

You need an ID card, with a picture, that was issued to you by your state or province. Or use your passport as you will need one anyways to enter the country.
