No you are getting it wrong, the dark reaction is misleading because it is activated in the light period but takes place in the dark period.

In the dark, ATP ( adenosinetriphosphates) are used to make glucose and Carbon dioxides for the plant.

So you could say that a part of the energy they get in the light period is being absorbed and used in the dark period.

Sorry again britewire but it doesnt say that anywhere in the links you posted or anything else i have read.
