Of course Bush knew what was going to happen. He doesn't give a fuck about those people...he's the dictator...I mean President! 911 was his dream come true. What is sad is that months later parts of the Gulf Coast and LA still are not "fixed"...I know Gulf shores is basically rebuilding again on its own...where are the billions going for hurricane rebuilding?? Its not Alabama....we prepared and still got hit hard but not waiting for a free bail out either...these people are doing it on their own and the community is pulled together...not apart like NO's. I don't care if the warning was in place 2 weeks before it hit...Katrina did major erosion to Orange Beach and Gulf Shores again and its just sad..guess if your not from these parts though it doesn't matter right...all I have read and seen concentrates mainly on LA...and the levees were not maintained like they were supposed to be...where did the money for levee maint. go to all these years?? I know it and it burns my butt when I see people that have worked so hard to have what they have and then its gone...just gone...I think your right...NO's will be better than before and once again...Gulf Shores left to the people that know it and love it! Most people say well they should have insurance...kind of hard getting flood insurance in some "zones"...yes we choose to live on the coast but darn if I don't get really tired of hearing about the levees all the time and Gulf Shores is being treated with deliberate indifference....then to read that all this administration is concerned with is still attempting to place "blame" when they should be ashamed and sending some of those dollars to people that at the least would put the money back into the Gulf Coast..not off using debit cards to buy name brand clothes and going to hooters on taxpayers dime....I didn't see any alabamians getting those cards or any other "assistance"...if we waited on the Government to do it we would still be waiting years from now...I didn't realize you knew about the South..my new thing today..but I am still recuperating from the flu so I have missed alot of posts the last few days..anyway its nice to see someone that realizes the truth about the Gulf Coast....thanks for validating Alabamas Katrina woes...but the Pink Pony will be back lol...."she" only got part of the building.Quote:

Bitch when the Fed was slow, Bitch cause the Feds went in. No bitching at all about city and state government. I didn't realize the the President of the U.S. was responsible for city evacuation plans in case of a natural disaster.
When every news station and weather channel says it's going to hit don't ya think city and state goverments should have taken control of the situation or do you want the Federal government to be in complete control of everything? If so, move to China.....seems to be working great!:thumbsup:
