I hear ya man! Whats even more sick as when after they show anti-MJ commericials, they air an alcohol commercial like that Bacardi and Cola junk w/the midget. Talk about hypocrisy when alcohol kills almost 100,000 alone a year from it and MJ has killed 0 in history!!
It is all political really. Even Karen Tandy of the DEA admitted that the takedown of Marc Emery was political and not about seeds. I thought the US could lie better than that!!! Amateurs. lol.
People knew what hemp was, but Harry J. Anslinger's dirty tricks came in handy when he renamed hemp, "marihuana". Yes with an 'h"!! People didn't know what the hell "marhuana" was, so they just went along with it, unknown that it was the cannabis hemp they were using in their medications, food, and clothing.
Weed was just not accepted back then among the white status quo because it was associated with Mexicans and black jazz musicians and it is slightly gaining acceptance now especially in Europe and Canada. We can't mix white women and black men together they said!! The US seems to be on the latter end, but thats the way America always was.
LAND OF THE FREE MY ASS!!!!!!!
p.s. If you watch some British newspapers, theres another wave of reefer madness going on there because cannabis was declassed to a class C drug. Poor babies and more victory to us!!!

I've been seeing the one where a kid says he was Dared to smoke marijuana, then dared to try and outrun a lumber-yard dog.. The commercial continues by showing the kid running from a dog... I may be wrong, but I would blame the kid for doing what his friends said, not marijuana; the commercial is a full on propaganda device, I mean it leads kids to think that if they smoke pot that they will end up running from a crazy a$$ dog.
Almost all the AboveTheInfluence commercials have had a scenario where a kid is pressured or changed in some way, and somehow marijuana is involved. It all comes down to the fact that there's a choice to be made, and bud will not guide you to doing wrong, only you can decide what to do...

Here's the link to where AboveTheInfluence displays their ads:
http://www.abovetheinfluence.com/the-ads/default.aspx
They also have the nerve to place a "Mythbusting Fact" saying that "It has no recognized medical value and smoking pot has never been proven to be medically beneficial." A whole bunch of b.s.!

Thanks for the links Demon, though they did lead me to some of the dumbest shit I have ever seen. I especially like the flat ad where the girl is all deflated on the couch, world class stupidity. I wonder if the kids in those ads are aware of the crap they're peddling? On second thought I guess it's just another paycheck for them. Sellouts!
The worst is that they portray all kids as mindless puppets who tend to do whatever their friends want, these ads are more insulting than educating.

I am above the influence of the capitalist mass media. They don't care about what is true. They only care about what will get them the most money. You'll never see a pro-weed commercial until it's legalized, because there's no money in it for them. Free your mind not only through drugs but through educating yourself properly. Read some books, talk to people, go see the world for yourself, but for goodness sake don't pay attention to the lies coming off your television screen.

what i dont get is how all these commercials and propaganda shit tell us to make our own decisions and dont let people tell us what to do. But isn't that exactly what they're doing. kinda goes against everything they stand for.
