I don't believe that's the problem. I put together my old pc (what I'm on right now) and it runs perfectly, but when I install the new CPU, mobo and RAM it crashes. I just need to find out how to install the new drivers.
when i bought my laptop a few months ago they gave me a OS install disc, sweet dealQuote:

Like when you install a cpu after walking across a shag carpet? "uhn yeah, i had it professionally installed, and it wont work, uhn yeah, im a pro"...:thumbsup:Quote:

read the manual for the new board and find out how to "reset the CMOS"... Then boot while hitting your "delete" key... Then set "Default Setting"... Then hit your "F-10" key and reboot...
buy one of those cheap like de-magnitizers, plug it in wipe it all around the outside of your computer, NOT YOUR MONITOR, and then plug ur computer in and put everything back on it.
actually dont. but it sounds like a good idea
I actually checked online because my manual felt a bit light, and the general manual for the series of mobos is twice as big as the one mine came with, so I kicked the wall. It is not a problem with the BIOS. I've set it to fail-safe defaults, optimized defaults, my defaults, and gone through everything on tomshardware that said could be interrupting the starup. It's not the BIOS. The BIOS detects my HDD and is actually the best BIOS I've ever used (the reason why I bought DFI).
