How many of the Oscar best picture nominees have you seen?
So I just saw Brokback Mountain. I have to say this is an incredible film! Man, it is so sad, such good acting. Wow!
All the hype and controversy are just really stupid. There is only one small gay sex scene in this that doesn??t even show any nudity. Other then that it is just an incredibly good love story. I??m not gay, not even close. I am very comfortable with my sexuality and maybe that??s why I was not bothered buy the fact it??s about two men. Honestly you forget about all that after about mid way through. It??s just a very sad, touching love story and anyone that can not get past the homosexual aspect of the movie and see it for what it is I think has some personal issues.
I really was not expecting to like this movie this much. I thought all the hype over it would make it less of an impact but now I see the hype is very justified. The acting, writing and directing are just as good as it gets. This movie does deserve best picture. It??s absolutely fantastic!!
Ang Lee defiantly deserves to win best director! If you like great movies you really need to see this movie!!
Brokeback defiantly moves into #1 on my list. It??s a masterpiece!

Yeah and honestly Munich, Brokeback, and Capote were all 3 so damn good it is really hard to have to pick a favorite! This has been a great year for movies, everyone should get out there and see these! Also be sure to see Syriana!

Uh I don??t know what you are going on about?! Did you miss the part where I said Crash is a very good movie and deserves to be nominated for best picture?!?!?
I am simply pointing out that Crash is not the best of the five and can almost guarantee that if you went to see all 5 you would also agree with this.
I again say that since you have only seen crash and none of the others you really don??t know what the hell you are talking about.
If you do go see all 5 and still think Crash is the best well then we can talk.

So do the same plot and make them gay and all of a sudden people like you are trying to use that as some kind of reason to not like it!! Well to use a cowboy term, that dog wont hunt!! You are just scared by homosexuality, plan and simple!
But honestly that is part of what would make you like it so much. You go in thinking all these things about it, about how it??s going to be all about gay guys, etc. And then you find out it is just a REALLY, REALLY great movie and the fact that they are gay men really does not have that much to do with the movie. If it were a man and woman in the movie it would be just a great. And the fact that they are gay does not make it any less or more great.
Again I think Ang Lee deserves almost all the credit!! He is just the man!!!

I am very aware of the horrendous movies available these days but the movie in question was bareback mountain yes? And yes...there are people like me...we don't condone homosexuality..deal with it. You seem to have very strong opinions on this so maybe you have issues you need to face?:thumbsup: Get it through your head...you can't force everyone to be like you or see it your way.
