my mom found my stuff one time and i was like yeah mom i do smoke a lot because i want to and you cant do anything about it because i made the choice so why cant u just accept it

and now, i pretty much cant go anywhere at all. It sucks. She just says "well since u said we cant stop u then i guess we just wont let you leave the house"

my parents are so stubborn and they wouldnt even read some stuff i printed off, or listen to what i had to say. they were just like "its illegal so its bad for you and people die and stuff from weed" and that just shows me that my mom knows nothing about it and is only going by what those god damn anti drug websites are tellling her.

That sounds exactly like my parents. They are so stubborn that they simply refuse to listen to any reason except their "It's illegal so it's wrong" bullshit. Like, they don't even want to learn anything about it.

So finally when I moved up to college I calmly but plainly told them that I smoked weed regularly, I was going to continue smoking weed, and that there was nothing that they could do to stop it. I told them that I had straight A's and one B, so that seemed to make them happy. As long as I don't smoke and drive (I would never consider doing that.. it's just too damn risky).

I just ended up toking with my dad one day so I didn't even have to tell him lol

Hah where is all this anti-driving while high sentiment coming from? Damn kids! I cant drive ujnless i have either a beer or 5 in me or a few j's.

I'm in the same exact situation. My mom even told me that she doesn't really doesn't care if I get high at home or whatever, but just to never accept drugs at a concert or something because they could be laced with something a lot harder. I don't think that this implies she is completely ok with me smoking all the time though.

It really hurts me to hear you say that. My uncle who i really loved died in a carcrash he was hit on the drivers side of the car by a drunk driver.

Driving drunk is stupid as fuck, but I've driven high every single time I've been high. Not a real big deal. Atleast for me, anyways.

well i got caught with weed the first time when i was in 7th grade, i came home one night from one of my friends houses and my mom was up in my room and called me up (basically i was like ohhh fuck, i almost knew what it was) and pulled this huge MC Escher print book out from under my tv stand (i wasnt hiding it at that time) which had like a quarter out on it in a bag and little piles of ground up bits like some kief and just kinda sorted stuff.

i thought i was screwed but then shes like "well i realize its really not that bad, (i had already had alot of drug discussions up to that point), and ive known for along time youve been experimenting but youre still keeping your grades up plenty" and then she continued to explain about how she thought it should be legal but it's so she just didnt want it to be in her house and she warned against me doing it just because she didnt want me to have my life ruined over getting in legal trouble. then my dad came home about two weeks later found out and ill just say he wasnt as understanding... he left and i skipped school the next two days cuz my mom let me

but for my mom shes totally cool. im on drugs alot around her and we have alot of really philosophical discussions, she asks me sometimes if im obviously on something like if my eyes are dilated, my eyes keep moving really fast, or if im talking entirely in rhymes and patterns which happens when im on lsd and dxm alot of the time. but even when she knows im on something she doesnt continue to interrogate me, she grew me up listening to pink floyd, the dead,led zeppelin, the doors, and stuff like that, how could she not expect it from me to be more open towards that kind of stuff, and when she told me she was proud for me getting a 27 on my act i told her i was on acid when i took it (about a week after my results came back) and i also had two ear infections which i learned later that day thats why i was having headaches for the past two weeks and she just laughed at me and made me reschedule it to see what i could get next time

basically your parents arent smart and as long as youre not dumb with drug use and its not fucking with your life by consuming what you love they shouldnt have any right to go completely berserk with you

I remember feeling so shady when I first start smoking a few months ago. It was depressing, I couldn't handle it. So I sat down and told them over dinner.

They weren't too happy, but that wasn't the point.

i would much rather drive with a freind thats stoned than pretty much anyone sober.

i find that the people i smoke with are more cautious while driving high. they dont wanna get puled over, so they slow down, and drive carefully...

and i used to have a friend that was a maniac on the road while sober, but after a few beers he was a really good driver. then again, i know another guy that once had a car wreck going 3 miles an hour while he was drunk

i guess it depends person to person
