There is little question that a clone system is superior to reveg with continued supply issues.
However, there is no wrong in taking another flower period from a plant you love and want to enjoy again...
If its strictly because you enjoyed the previous harvest, then its the right thing to do.

the proper way I should have done it was....
take cuttings from each plant and determine sex....
flower each female clone and find the one with the tightest bud formation......
get rid of unwanted mothers and keep the best one
8 months later smoke my first harvest lol

EXPRIENCE says REVEG REVEG REVEG I have re vegitated individual plants for 3 years. No loss of quality or quantity. You want to the FASTEST and BEST way to grow? REVEG. Don't waste your time with clones. Grow, flower and reveg go to www.growweed.com for the best book on the subject ever written. I can tell you personally, reveg. It increased my production by 300 % think about it. Cloning, wait for two to three weeks to see if it grew roots. Cut 70% of the plant, reset the lights to 20/4 for 7 days and then go back to 12/12. Why waste time with clones? screw CLONES!!! REVEGITATE! Don't listen to the ignorant. You know the quality of the plant? REVEGITATE! NO loss of production, no wasted time, GROW GROW GROW. The roots take up nutrients, the roots store energy , the roots keep the plant alive. Save 30% of the leaves and reset the lights. GROW GROW GROW!
thanks

hey doctor g
you are right man. My mom's ex boyfriend was an expert horticulturist and he revegged a lot. he had 4+ year old plants with bark on the stalks that were revegged many times over and still produced monster nugs. he did stress soil ph and leaching the salt buildup though.

only thing is out of my seeds not many plants looked that nice and I want more like it. if anything I will lose vigor from cloning

I'm sorry man..but my experience (going on 23 years now) says re-vegging is not the best way to do things..
When I re-vegged my plants I saw that they took longer to come back into veg and eventually peaked in potency and declined to the point of the plants being useless..
No offence..but cannabis is an annual..in nature it is pollinated and produces seed..
When you cut a plant back and force it to re-veg you also force it to grow more roots and produce branches that are hardy enough to support good quality flowers..contrary to your calls for re-vegging it's just NOT a good idea!
Also..if you HAVE been doing it for years you would know that the plants eventually lose vigor..become sickly..and die!
Or..they become so desperate to re-produce that they pop a few male flowers out in an attempt to pollinate themselves..
However..when you keep mothers and take clones you are not taking the mother out of veg..and it's less stressed and has a chance to grow more potent as time passes..
Your timetable is askew as well..my mothers were the best of the batch..they produce rooted clones in 7-10 days..and in 14-20 days from being cut they are ready to be flowered!
And even though I tend to grow in larger pots (10 to 12 inch) I would have to increase the size of my pots to accomodate re-vegged females..as I said..new growth co-relates to new root growth..
I am switching to a flood table soon..in 4 inch rockwool cubes..imagine trying to re-veg them?
Now consider this..I harvest and re-plant on the same day..my plants are finished in 10 weeks..assuming you are flowering for 8 weeks you would have to be losing time re-vegging..I know my plants took longer than 2 weeks to come out of flower..and for the calyxes to convert to new shoots!
And while cloning is a common practice in horticulture to asexually propegate plants..re-vegging is unique to the folks who grow marijuana..
If you have no alternative..if you cannot PROPERLY select the best mothers or don't have the space for them..then it's fine for a second crop..but even then you can expect your yield to decrease..
And really the bottom line is this..if that's how you wanna do things..be my guest..but don't imply people are ignorant because they disagree with you..that's just rude when you have no idea who I am or what I have done..
Now you have made a claim of a 300% increase in yield..I invite you to show some proof of this claim..show us how you accomplished this incredible feat..
In the mean time I will do what I do..I'll dig up evidence to support my position from a credible source...
And for everyone else..as I said..it may be what you like to do..but I don't think it's the best route to take..
Johnny

The genetics are contained in the plant you love so much..cloning will give you the exact same plants!!!!
And as long as you don't clone from a clone over and over you WON'T see any diminish in potency!
In fact..I'll prove it!
This is my best White Russian offspring..
Now next crop I'll post pics of the White Russians at 6 weeks (which is where I am at now) and you will see that they are the same..
If I had a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer I would show you the numbers..but I lost that ability when I stopped working with Advanced nutrients in their medical cannabis testing..
Also..what criteria are you using to select your future crops from seed? My White Russian mother was the most heavily covered in resin..grew the fastest..and had a stronger smell than the ones I let go..
And as luck would have it..my WR mom is also polyploidal..so the buds are heavier..stickier..and have been growing faster than the other WR clones I took..
Anyway..heres a few picks..I re-vegged my moms because I had to..they were sexed outside and had to come in and go under lights..
The first pics are the original mothers (from back in August)..after about 3 weeks growth in veg..
They would have produced alot if I flowered them again..but I know I can get more in the span of a year with clones than with re-vegging..
The next pics are the best WR offspring I got in my garden..I'll have some pics tommorow as well since I am harvesting another garden of mine..
If all works out the way it should I may have cannabis as potent as 22% THC..

That looks like it's a good, solid indica...
For sure..re-veg her and clone her off..then keep the re-vegged plant as a mother and trim her till she has enough tops to give you a room full...
