IMO it's so dangerous for people to do drugs (esp hallucinogens) without researching them first. people ask me about shrooms and i'm like "yea they're fun but you gotta have the right setting and be with people you're comortable with" and they're like "sure whatever i'll probably do them and go to a club or something" and i'm like "have fun getting scared out of your mind!" people who do them irresponsibly are just making more reasons for them to stay illegal.
Precisely. It's like the whole salvia hype... you can bet your ass the DEA has they're eye on the situation. It won't be long before yet ANOTHER of our beatiful teacher plants is banned from society... All of because of the misleading vendors and irresponsible users :(Quote:

You doing drugs to make youself less shy would classify as doing it to have fun...
I do know what you mean though audiocide some people are just stupid and reckless.
And if you do intend to experiment with drugs purely for fun, listen to what this guy had to sayQuote:

weed, shrooms, salvia - any of that - it enhances you
thats my mindset. - if im drinking at a party, im not about to down some shrooms or anything like that - i know the effects and respect them
i do know a guy that will be somewhere and do anything thats in the house
just last night he snorted almost 2000 mg. of vicoden, a line of coke, and pleanty of booze and weed.
i dont care that he did it, i dont think anything of it.
but i kinda cringed when he was hunched over cluchting his heart in the corner...
just kinda an eye opener
the big difference with alcohol IMO is that when i'm drinking, after like 3 or 4 drinks something takes over and is like "I should drink more!!" so even if i don't want to get that drunk, sometimes when i go out i end up getting way drunker than i wanted to. but if i was tripping really hard on mushrooms or something i would never be like "hmm maybe i'll eat another eighth right now!" i guess i obey my limits more with other drugs than with alcohol.Quote:

And I too always research something before putting it in my body. Most people I know who are against drugs have no clue what anything does to you and are like "blah blah thats bad for you you dont know what you're doing" but I know perfectly well what I'm doing. What pisses me off though is that my mom gets mad at me for going on erowid and such... I guess she would rather have me going an taking drugs that I know knothing about.
Words like 'good,' 'bad,' and the like are arbitrary descriptions which only have meaning in the sober consciousness of society. For better or worse, a person's mindset (I believe - this whole thing is a binge of my own theories but maybe someone can relate) is altered, often for the rest of their lives, with the realization of alternate consciousness from their first true drug-experience. I've found that what our collective sober consciousness would deem 'irresponsible' characteristics are enhanced in those people who are simply, by virtue of their genetic makeup, more prone to being irresponsible in the first place. That's not to say irresponsible types lack the capacity for enlightenment or any other accidental benefit whilst they're 'fucked up' - I have many 'irresponsible' friends who've benefited from psychedelics and weed, despite their behavior. Its unfortunate for the rest of us that they're this way, but to them, as I said, words like 'good,' 'bad,' 'irresponsible,' etc. have gained a permanent status, that being one of irrelevance.
Does this make any sense at all?
