Questions about potency/ smell/ parts of weed...

That is sort of true, if weed smells grassy or piney (sp?) it was picked too early. Your weed doesn't have to be these big hugeass nugs. And no, you didn't get ripped off.

Seeds just look like.. well, seeds. They're these little hard brown things. About 2 mm across.

Stems looks like a little green twig. Don't smoke them. The best thing to do if you're smoking out of a pipe is to just pick up a nug, and pinch a little bit (about 5 mm across) of MJ, and just do that over and over again until your bowl is full. If you see a seed, just throw it away. Do this until you get down to the stem, throw away the stem, and then start on your next nug.
