I hope you prove me wrong. I really hope you do. Let's be realistic, you'll have a lot of opposition. This state seems to have a zero tolerance to being under the influence of anything while driving. If they passed medical marijuana, what makes you think they won't weaken it like they did for beer? Sure, it's common fact that driving stoned isn't that dangerous, but do you think a majority-mormon population would see that? No. I thought Virginia had strict drug laws......Utah takes the cake.

I'm with bongman on this one, I hope it happens but I'm sceptical that it will. I just moved away from Utah so I have firsthand knowledge of the ignorance and intolerance that is prevasive in the mormon community. BTW I was raised mormon but have since changed my whole outlook on life. My parents are fairly representitive of the general ideal when it comes to pot. Once I got busted for blazing and after I got home from the jail my Mom asked my brother how long it would be untill I "came down" ignorance.
My hope goes with you and I regret that I can't help, just know that you should expect serious, and irrational opposition from the mormon community.
But you probably already knew that. Good luck.
