thats an awful outlook on things..in the grander scheme of things.....

theres millions of people around the globe being massacred by their governments......in reality, it doesnt invovle me...but if you are a human being with any sense of compassion, you should care and want to change things.

Well we've all seen what happens when governments decide to stick their nose in places it doesn't belong.

Lateralus, that's the gist of what I was getting at. All the people I hang around are aquaintances, for I don't really care about what's going on in their life, but it's the same with them. We have a mutual relationship.

im not talking about governement...im talking about individual people such as you and me...theres so many things just one person can do....

you are quite thick..you do not have to PHYSICALLY be somewhere to help...

i would help out a friend but not an aquaintance cuz do you think an aquaintance would help you? hence the term "aquaintance".

I'd have to physically be helping someone for it to truly matter. I can't be sure my non-perishable donations are going help someone truly in need of food. If your tuned into the right channel you will see the minute(s) long commercial pleading for your help. Or you could send your money to fight the cause? Giving money has never helped anything. In your latter years of contributing you start realizing, "These people are still hungry? Has my money done anything in these past three years?" Sooner or later you keep doing these 'acts of kindness' just to make yourself feel happy. Selfish bastard. Memories can't be sacraficed with these random acts of kindness. Pretending like you care.

very true. a lot of these peeps dont give a shit about the problems. they just want to say that they helped so that they can brag and feel good bout themselves.
