Waking Life is one of my favorites. I watched it then bought it. I lend it out to friends who need a little enlightenment and expansion of their minds.
I highly reccommend it. I watch it now and again for a little grounding.
enjoy!

You have to tell yourself to be calm. It gets easier with practice. I've only had them occasionally (like once every couple months or so) before I really started getting into them. But then about a week and a half ago I got my hands on a copy of the book Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge. I read half the book on the first day, and had an awesome lucid dream that night. That's what made me really start researching them. I had two more in the couple nights after that, but they only lasted a few seconds before I woke up. Then I started keeping a journal of my dreams and doing regular checks throughout the day to see if I'm awake. Since I started doing that about a week ago, I've had four more. Maybe I'm just a natural. In any case, it's really fucking awesome. :DQuote:

just need practice and patience. ill try to concentrate on my dreams to be able to have some of those dreams
So basically you now have a fantasy land where you control every fucking thing that goes on, that you can visit every night.
You lucky bastard. :) I've only had a few lucid dreams..a couple felt like actual real life (moreso than normal). Like..I've said to myself..is this a dream? Naw, it can't be, this is real..and then once i woke up i realized I could've done whatever I wanted! (it was like a situation where I wouldn't have done something in real life, but gone ahead in the dream).
oh yea man lucid dream is THE shit
all your deep fantasms can be... eh eh
I have been doing it as long as I remember.Quote:

Its like "wow! look at this!I cant believe it!...." then 'pow' back to waking reality.
If you can curb the doubt by experience you will be one step closer to being fluid with it.
The easiest way to accomplish this is by deliberate attempts to experience 'lucid dreams'. Through deliberate attempts you will come to expect it to happen and be less likely to sabotage your own experiences.
A good book I can recommend for techniques is "Adventures beyond the body" by William Buhlman.
There are many techniques to set yourself on a wondeful journey, this book explores some of them. Your beliefs may not be the same as Mr Buhlman but the practicle ideas will work regardless of your beliefs.
Have fun!
hehe I just read your other post mellow...never mind about what I said about beliefs....it is obvious you are on the same page. Astral Projection and 'lucid dreaming' are closely related. The major difference is awareness and intent . Words cannot contain the wonder of this experience.
i love that movie, i own it its really interesting, and i love the cell shading
I really like that movie. It's fun to watch and see which character represents which philosopher / writer / whatever. My film teacher is the guy who lights himself on fire; it was filmed right down the street from my house.

The weirdest thing is the only time I remember my dreams is during the daytime. Sometimes I'll get the opportunity to take an hour and a half / two hour nap during the day.....and I'll have very vivid dreams......but NEVER at night.
