I'm not sure those are the only consequences when using synthetic forms of these chemicals. Plenty of people have died from normal doses of painkillers. There is a huge difference between synthetic opiates and vioxx, or whatever. A whole fucking lot of people have died using natural opiates, dangerous, but worth the risk. Getting sick on opiates is to be expected, I puked every time I slammed a K.

I am very interested now, please provide me with a reference reporting an 'epidemic' of opioid deaths resulting from medicinal use.
The primary risk with opioids is respiratory depression, which is dose dependent.
