Having been a pizza guy for a while, on a $20 order a $3-5 tip is "good" with 5 being very good. But as long as its more than a buck (and defiantely not just a few pennies) its all good.

Fuck you dude. Being a pizza delivery person... that comment is insulting. Considering the fact that we are on a TIP based pay, getting stiffed is one thing that really fucking angers me. If You said that to any pizza guy to his face I bet you he'd fucking spit in that shit or drop it on the ground. Tips are how we make most of our money, end of story.

Tipping wise, I would say the average tip would be $3.50-$4.00. I am in a pretty good area for tips though... as just last friday i had 2 tips of 10 dollars or more each... which isn't to uncommon to have every now and then. Biggest tip still holds at $36.00 for me, followed by a $26 tip on a $24 dollar order (that guy was rich... and lucky for me very generous), and I've had to of had at least 20 other deliveries with $10 or more tips (I've only been delivering pizzas for 4 months).... though my most memorable tips have been the 4 times I've been invited in to smoke weed with various different customers....

Seriously though... Please tip your pizzaman (and fairly well), as chances are your pizzaman is a stoner... and you shouldn't be screwing a fellow stoners pay because you're to cheap to give him a few bucks... Stiffing is simply rude.
