Why Cat Feces Shouldn't Be Used Indoors.

Well, for one.. you're both talking about OUTDOOR use of cat feces. Ouside is an entirely different element. YES cat shit is a good fertilizer i'm not saying otherwise. I'm saying it is UNHEALTHY and A HEALTH HAZARD because of the specific parasite oocysts. Outside the parasites that come with animal fecal matter are eaten by other nasty ass parasites outside.. the fecal matter is decayed by sun..flies..wind..natural decay.

To put cat fecal matter in an indoor potted plant is a potential health hazard because those parasites are not broken down as they would be in a natural ecosystem.

I obviously got up on the wrong side of the bed or something.. but i thought you knew about cooking with cannabis harddon, and when you not only tried to tell me that eating raw buds is gonna fuck you up because of the fat in your brain ...is just plain ridiculous. Nice to hear someone else knows catshit is great ferts. I dont tell people to dig thru their box...just lift out the chunks :)

I wouldnt and dont do it indoors, but for outdoor growers for non edible items, it is hard to beat.


I cannot grow outside but if I would, I would side by side and test them both and I stake my years wages on the cat shit plant would outperform most commercial ferts and your catshit from your clean indoor cat will never get you sick.

The whole toxicplasma issue was stirred by a pharmaceutical company who realized some indigent pregnant women were getting sick...and they linked the cat shit. they failed to make the public aware the original data came from poor impoverished women who lived in slums in Philadelphia where even the rats got sick.

Anyhow, they were able to sell about $1,000,000,000 a year worth of antibiotics knowing people wouldnt get rid of the cats.

When full, start to fill another bin and leave the first to rest (maybe throw some earth worms in there at this point). When the second one is full, assuming it takes at least a year to fill a bin, use the contents of the first bin for horticultural purposes, like shrubs, fruit trees, etc. This makes a lot more sense than burying dog and cat feces in a landfill. Bob, do you by any chance remember the book, movie, or show called "The Paper Chase"? It was a chronical of a 1st year law student and a gruff old professor that pretty much tortured him into being a great student.

In fact, in one episode, I believe the professor made the student, "Mr. Hart", eat cat shit. I could be wrong---it was a long time ago---but Hart did survive and went on to be a powerful, highly compensated attorney.

The moral of the story is so obvious, I won't bother stating it.
