Lots of the outdoor threads I see appear to be plants "in the middle of nowhere" that "no one specifically planted". If you stumble across one of these plants is it fair to just haul the scissors out and start clipping? I think you are missing the point. Read the first post in this thread. The kid was talking about going "weed hunting" with the intent of stealing.

I doubt many people are planting herb plants five miles deep into a bunch of woods in the middle of nowhere. And even if he did, i'd imagine he'd probably have a hard time finding where he planted them in the first place. While I agree that the term "Weed hunting" may not be the best term to use, at that same time it isn't like he's going specifically into someone's private back yard to take their stash. He also said he was from iowa... having lived in iowa for a short period of time when i was much younger, along with being there ever so often, it's a pretty non-populated state, which leads me to believe that if you found a plant in the middle of no where, it wouldn't be anybody's. I'm not saying "It's ok to steal"... but if the plants are in the middle of no where and are outdoor plants that haven't been tended to (It'd be pretty easy to tell if someone had been caring for them) then there isn't really a reason for a person to leave them there and waste it. At that same point in time, if it has obviously been cared for, then leave it alone... It's all how you look at it man...
