last night on public TV i saw a small debate between a professor that wrote a book on the policies of the protests over vietnam and a mother who lost a son in iraq (anti-war) and a mother that wanted her son to keep fighting.
It was really funny the way the pro-war mother kept fumbling and tripping over her disjointed words, really back peddling on all the issues, her only comeback to the anti-war mothers heartfelt words was, protest against the war was hurting her son. what total balderdash, absolute crap, it is her and people like her that should feel great shame having allowed this punk bush the authority to put them in a war over oil and money.
the professor said that the protests had happened much quicker, that the protest were gaining ground faster than the protest over vietnam.
that is good, just hope the protesters don't have to bleed as much, and you can bring your children home from this ridiculous farce much sooner.
I must say that if given the choice of either with or against these lies, I choose against with every fiber of my being.
The anti war mother said something that will stick with me, she said, "there is no right way to do a wrong thing".
there is no way that this war is not wrong, to profess that it is done in the name of freedom is absurd.

as with all debates i get to see on the pbs networks, the floor was given to each debater in turn, when the "go to war mother" was given the floor the pause before she spoke was quite noticeable, and when she did finally find the words they were halting and disjointed, like they didn't make a lot of sense, saying things like," we don't believe the president lied."
it was quite different when the "bring them home mother" spoke, almost as if she believed in what she said
things like "we have lost 1,918 men and woman in this war isn't that enough?" she was quite passionate about her cause.
i just saw another debate about the posse comitatus act, and how it can be shoved aside in an emergency, of course it would be an emergency as defined by the president.

I dont know psycho im happy and find some "conspiracy" things interesting *even factual gasp!* Problem is if people ignored conspiracies Nixon would have done whatever he liked(for at least one full term....)and people would be sure that Kennedy was shot by Oswald....

But im still happy.....;)

Imagine what would have happened if enough people had exposed Hitler's Reichstag conspiracy........so many were happy to ignore it all though (not calling you a nazi ;) just pointing out how dangerous it can be to be happily uncaring of a conspiracy).

Vary nice post Pisshead. Those that are "sleeping", wake up and smell the coffee, and see your worlds crashing on the tops of your skulls; your government that "cares" for you is really hurting you. I even try to get my family to notice all the lies and crap that this government of wolves is putting out, but they're trying to shield themselves, and ignore obvious wornings.
