well what if you go a head in time and meet you future self and cause chaos then you go back in time. then when its time for you to meet your past self you remember how it went and you avoid meeting you past self. thus changing the past and the future. then if you dont meet your past self would you forget that you ever meet you future/past self?

Maybe you'd go to where you'd be at if you were still alive, then? Like, if you jumped to the year 2040, you end up where you'd be at after having lived the last 35 years.
That'd be freaky if you traveled to your grave.
