I'm not quiet sure but I think that once you have been caught with "Cannabis utentsiels" you got a criminal conviction so you would proberbly get a $100 with no conviction. But at the moment you get a fine and criminal conviction.

Why is it that they always emphasize the bad aspects of the herb? For these people, it's like weed has never done anybody any good ever. Fiber, medicine, food, paper, peace of mind, all these things which the hemp plant can bring us and these people can only be bothered to repeat whatever condemning anectodes and "scientific" studies they can find to support any claim that makes the plant look bad. Who cares if it doesn't really fund terrorism, if it doesn't really kill brain cells, if it doesn't really make boys grow titties? It scares people and that's all that matters.
Is there anywhere on the internet you can watch these shows or video's? I hate the propoganda and lies, but I have to admit it would give me a good laugh.
I watched a movie about this a few weeks ago.... From what I remember, weed was criminalized to harass mexican laborers in the southwest in the early 20th century. The mexicans liked to smoke after a long day of work. A big newspaper article was written about one mexican going crazy after he blazed some and allegedly killed a lady. People in the area got pissed off and passed a local law against it. Misinformation about the "dangers" of weed spread throughout the country and eventually the treasury department made Harry Anslinger the first drug czar to control the cannabis problem, along with other illicit drugs. Long story short, this guy ended up spending his entire career, which spanned about fifty years, trying to put a stop to weed. Unfortunately for us, he was damn successful at pushing anti-drug legislation through congress. He even ended up addressing the UN about the marijuana problem, which prompted many other countries to outlaw the fine herb. Basically, this dude is responsible for anti-drug policy in the US, and to some extent the world.Quote:

Ok citizen kane, the real man that character is based off of (forget his name) was a paper and mill baron, he wanted hemp banned, as the paper it produced competed, and was arguably a better more sutainable crop, as it was a crop and not a cut, grind, burn glue and done paper kinda operation.
He lbbied to ban the item that was legal, made it not growable for commercial purposes, and then eventually hasd it up to a fine for use.
Now its engrained into our society.
Fuck you old men, fuck you and your money. Man I like money.
