interesting how many people use sand.
i would think sand is not good as it can cut, slice or sever root strands.
i used it on my first grow and wouldnt use it again.

I suppose, but if you hold this mix in your hand, you don't real feel sand it feels more like peat moss...I was surprised how light and fluffy it was...thanks for the heads up, I will watch for problems and possibly I will have to change...but so far, they all look good. Besides, they will be in the orchid mix soon enough
Ok, we got our bad seeds replaced and planted 3 of each...here are a couple of pix...

LATEWOOD!! BEWARE! Those round things you have in that container are Thrip eggs!! Hard to see but there's one on your plant and another is just hatching!! And you can see other eggs crackin' gettin' ready to hatch!! Send your plants immediately to:
Dr. M. Benson

Laughin my ass off.
Poor latewood.
Honestly this thread oughta be some kinda FAQ overall.
Excuse me while I go back to minding my uthuhhside_o_thetracks Bagseed Slut.
FAInterested - Today at HD I amazingly found the Schultz 2-7-7 Cactus Plus [latewood if I may be the total crasher can I ask you and the group to critique choices made today]. In particular the jug of Vigoro Root Stimulator which is 2-5-2 plus Vit B1. Wanted the VB1. But also wanted to get the Phospherous up there on advent of 12/12. At same time she still hasn't gotten any Nitrogen so... Also got a Wardley pH "regulator" (neutralizer) called Bullseye 7.0. Usually an aqaurium product?? -- Using RO water anyway (cause I think it dangerous to use the hardness conditioners cause they'd knock down all the good heavy mets like Magnesium, etc.) but not sure where the soil has been since mixing it up - have tester - will use. but there was this pH neutralizer at the wally's and I can't justify the organic healthywealthy up and down adjuster sets just yet.
Please slam away if the Wardley buy or anything else sounds .
Shrug. Seemed reasonably relevant when I began. 3 hits later I'm a pain in the ass. Sorry folkums.
"ctw's", "dbf's"
Hard to say but looks like not too many people are going to be getting a free sample! But let me know when someone posts the first correct answer. I'll post the same and get a free sample!! YEHAA!!

what u think? would that be the best way with dirt, germ them and straight in2 there permenant home?
