I hope to God you are kidding with us. If you are joking, for future reference please keep in mind that most people on these boards are prone to bouts of paranoia, namely myself. So based on your post, I'm going to trade in my SUV (I know it sucks for the environment so keep your comments to yourselves) for a scooter.Quote:

Think about it! This is all a huge scam by the oil companies! What percent of gas does the US actually produce? Like 3% or something, and out of that 3 percent like maybe 10% was damaged in the hurricane so therefore shouldn't gas prices go up by .3% (very negligible amount). So WTF why are the prices skyrocketing? Because every one of out nations leaders has money invested in oil companies and they dont give a shit if were gettin ripped because it just makes them richer.
I think we should have a fucking revolution and guillotine these shitbags!
we produce around half of what we use......

There's also a danger, that the motor ain't esigned to handle the hotter combustion temps that high octane fuel generates and damge could result..like scorching of the cylinder and valves,as well as the pistons. Back in the '70's,we used to put 93 octane fuel in our hotrods, along with a gallon or 2,of 'jet' fuel, which ran about 104 to 118..I think. I hope I helped to explain better.
Have a good one !
some places in Ireland are up to US$7.25 a gallon. :eek:Quote:
