I am no fan of reflectors, but not of kool tubes or heat glass either.
I would take it out of there and spread the MH light around so it overlaps in spectrum more than it is.
If heat is an issue, then yea, kool tubes are the way to go then.
I believe that UV rays increase potency of the THC present. GLass will block the UV-B rays that affect that.
The glass will allow the UV-A rays to penetrate but it is the UV-B rays you want.
But still I would broadcast the light over a wider area.
But I think you have done nicely without my advice... :)

Well, I appreciate the compliment, but I learnsomething here everyday from somebody and if you ever see something in my schtuff that you believe I could do better by all means Mouth off ;) this goes for any of you folks out there that are trying to learn to be better growers... but I will take it out tomorrow, you think I shoud take out the hps also?

I cant see your grow room to well.
If it properly designed for reflection, then by all means, I would take the reflectors off and hang them above the plants.
I bought this huge assed light setup and to this day the new housing, with glass cover, venting cooling tubes all sits in the box.
I just grabbed the lights and ballast and let them hang.
I guess it all depends on you reflectivity....
christ you got so much going on in there it is tuff to see much at all .....lol....
i know the feeling :)

Its your call.
You said you were 6 weeks into grow...
I assume flower.
It looks like all sativa so you can squeeze a few more weeks outta her anyhow so if I were you, I would indeed drop the lights out of those spot light creators you have them in.
If you can squeeze another 3 or 4 weeks outta them, your buds will fatten up quite nicely.
Dont get me wrong...I think you have a great grow there and its obvious you know what you are doing....
I just think less spotlights on the ladies will benefit the plant as a whole....in fact I know it will.
Let the light spread out more on them and in 2 or 3 weeks you buds will swell and fatten a lot more.
On your pic in post 15, i see the white stops going up the walls and then it turns to the wood panel?
You will need to address this.
Every single thing in the grow room should reflect light.
ANyhow, thanks for asking for my input....as I said, you are doing fine on your own.

message is too short!
Do you think i can turn off a light and work on it during cycle or should I wait until tonight, lights out and pull them apart then
1. clones for s-b-s...
2.-5. shots around lights, so you can see setup

Definately take those bulbs out of the housing and get them side by side in the middle of the plants about 10" from the top.
Rotate the plants everyday 180 degrees, more often the better.
Normally I like to hang the bulbs horizontally, but you would lose way too much light with the setup as it stands....so drop them vertically...
In my opinion, you will broadcast light over a more broad area and you will also give your plants the benefit of spectrum overlapping :)
As far as when to do it, when the flowers go to sleep, they need to go to sleep and stay asleep.
I would do this work during the first part of the their morning cycle, starting a half hour earlier than normal, or I would extend the evening cycle a bit and work on them then.
Please post a pic identical to post 19, pic #3 when complete....I would like to see it.
Thanks
