There are two types of vaporizers. One type uses the glass dome and the metal bowl. This is a conduction vaporizer where the bowl heats up and vaporizes the weed. The other type uses the whip/stem. This is a convection vaporizer where hot air is drwan through the bud to vaporize it.

I have owned both and have got to say that the convection(whip type) type has got to be at least 500% better than the conduction(glass dome) type. Two main reasons: First, with the convection type the vapor is drawn directly into your lungs, and is only vaporized when your hitting it, so nothing can ever get wasted. Second, and probably more importantly, with the conduction type only the bud that is touching the metal bowl really gets vaporized. With the convection type the hot air fully sorrounds the bud as it is drawn through so you'll get a more complete vaporization.

Right now I'm using an aromazap. www.aromazap.com It works great and is, as far as I have seen, the cheapest ($100.00 shipped) of the convection types. The only problem is that it takes about 1/2hr to heat up. Not a big problem if you tend to smoke at the same time every day like I do. I put it on one of those $5 light timers so it turns on automatically and is ready when I get home from work.

Now today's debate... to get dressed & run errands/shop, or paint the last wall of my bathroom (it's hot pink & orange, with a sky on the ceiling), lol? Ah, decisions, decisions.

the blue meanie that duppy man has got does the trick but i brought a volcano last week and tried it out for the first time last night, and needless to say it gets u propely stoned, but it does cost at least £330

I would have loved to be able to afford the Vapir, or one of the up market ones like the volcano which looks wicked as well delivers the goods, its the one with the detachable balloon is that the one

Penguin, great minds think alike, lol! :) My bathroom is now resplendent in its pink & orange glory. Now I've just downloaded a huge amount of Muddy Waters, & as soon as my iPod eats it all up I'm going to cruise to meet up with a couple of friends.

Still a bit torn between the Vapo Brothers box & the Volcano. Being a chick, I sorta like the way the box looks so am leaning toward that, but it's still up in the air (no pun intended).
