While you're picking up some BBQ in Euless stop by my place in north Euless
Hey Torog. Sorry to disappoint you, but I checked my membership card and I'm not a liberal, gay muslim. But I'll see if I can find one if you like....maybe a little target shooting? lolQuote:

I guess we could meet up for bbq in Euless, stop over at bssman's house for a little mental relaxation, then head out west to the lake to your house for the rest of the day. By the time this happens, we'll have dozens of people popping over. Let's strip some cane poles for 'em and teach 'em how to fish for crappy!! Have a big fish fry, a few coolers full of beer, some fine green to enjoy it all with, and we've got that drum circle somedude was wanting..lol

Yup..my gal and I,git along just fine, because we learned how to agree to disagree,a long time ago...lol..but yer right-we do have some lively conversations..hehe.
You know what ? Now that I think of it..I might have some relatives in Euless..actually,I got relatives all over the D/FW metroplex..lol. Yup..it would be fun to go to PK lake or the other lake, south of me..the Hell's Gate observation/picnic area, would be cool to go to..but I know of a couple of private places we could go to and not have to worry about the game wardens..they're everywhere ! dang it ! And they have way too much power too..oh well..where there's a will-there's a way ! Yeeehhhaaawww !!!!
Have a good one !
I hear ya about the wardens. I went camping and fishing in Colorado not too long ago, and that warden bugged us almost every hour our first two days there. He must have thought we were up to something, which we weren't at all. He kept asking to see our "catch" of the day. We kept telling him we weren't keeping any fish because we didn't want to have to bring them back home after several days on ice. I think he figured we weren't fishing at all. He was a total prick too. He acted like Barney Fife on steroids.Quote:

What I think would be a blast is to rent a party boat at Lake Travis, near Austin, and hang out on it for a three day weekend with good friends. I don't have enough friends who would enjoy my way of relaxing dammit!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to live in Austin, and went fishing a few times,at Lake Travis..yer idea, sounds like a good one to me ! I ain't sure if you can do that at PK lake, but I wouldn't be surprised too much,if it is possible..heck,I'd rather sit out on the lake..than go to a bar !
Have a good one !

And his wife Shelby (she was in most of his old movies...the blonde babe) was very funny and was part of his act as well.
I hear ya about going to bars. We're going to one tonight to listen to some more comedy, but for the most part, I stay away from them. Too old for that crap.
I wish I lived on a lake. I love to fish, but mostly I just love the serenity of a lake lifestyle. We're hoping to move up northwest in a few years when I retire, and I defininitely want to live next to either a beautiful river full of trout or a beautiful lake. Actually, we'd like to own our own RV park and run it through our retirement years. That way maybe we could afford to live in a more beautiful place.
Got big plans for your weekend?

Hey Torog.....hope your Sunday is starting out great!
We went to a dueling piano bar last night in Addison. I felt like I was a hundred years old. That place was CRAWLING with 20-something women who looked like Playboy models!!!! My wife and I took another couple in their 50's. We all felt reallllllllllllllllllly old.....lol My wife and my buddy's wife felt really uncomfortable with all the young ladies there. Seriously, I haven't been around that much beauty in many, many years. All you single guys, check out Pete's Dueling Piano Bar on Beltline in Addison.
I learned last night.........I'd MUCH prefer to sit on a backyard deck with good friends, smoking a fattie, drinking some iced tea, and listening to the wind blow through the trees than deal with how loud, smokey, and fake the bar scene is. I finally faced it......I'm getting old. lol :D
So what's your plan for today Torog?

I'm not THAT old and I haven't enjoyed the bar scene in years. On Saturday we had some friends over, cooked some burgers on the grill, had a few beers, and had a great time. Wouldn't have done it any other way, except we were out of herb.
