Another place where it is pretty much tolerated by the authorities is the town of Nimbin, New South Wales, Australia. Apparently they even have an annual festival called Mardi Grass.
i once spoke to an australian man and he was a big smoker and he was telling me if i ever went there to go to Nimbin and find grandma's place or somthing.....he was wasted but i heard that its a good place to go from a few people now...
