I dont want to get a 600 watt because i cost more than the 1000 watt. I want the most light i can put in there though. i was going to mount the light on the roof so wouldnt i add that to the sqaure feet?

ive got 2400 w on lm X 1m. is this too much light. my temps around 85 C max. by too much light i mean is there a chance it may decrease harvest, cos i always thought more light = more bud. its about 3 weeks in now and ive had to stake all the main branches- its only one plant, so that dont seem so bad. ive got an nft tray sat on the outskirts and a box with a few growing in coco

Dude, it is difficult to have too much light.
I am running now,
250W MH
250W HPS
125W CFL
125W CFL
125W CFL
65W CFL
65W CFL
65W CFL
The MH & HPS light the canopy and the CFL's light the sides and undergrowth.
My plants are growing an inch a day now.
And my grow space is only 3.75 sq. ft.
Quit farting around and get it. :D
HAPPY GROWING :)
Yes, tomorrow i am going to Home Depot. The have those tiny little window AC units that are about as small as a microwave. $77.95.Quote:

Maybe that will reduce my water usage because I am going thru 1.5 fricking gallons of water a day, PER PLANT!
Thats a lot of water mixing and pH adjusting.
I'll post a pic after I set it up.
The kids think I have a vegetable garden in there...though the older ones surely aren't so gullible.....
Now when they see a damn AC unit sticking out the back, they're really gonna wonder........
So if i have an intake and exaust just for the light you think ill still need a ac unit?
That only helps to remove heat build up from the light. It will only save you about 7-12 deg f on the average. That's important because it allows you to get your light closer and increase the lumens to more area if your plants. You still need to keep the room with in the proper temperature range.Quote:

Hey Harddon - It's not a bad thing your plants are drinking 1.5 gallons a day but if you keep the temperatures lower and the RH high they would not need to drink as much. Drinking more water gives them more nutrients too. The trick is to balance the environment so they can use up the extra nutrients and process them into larger branches and more buds.
Does the man have the $$$$$$$ to buy a $350.00 light unit????????
