curing

I was thinking about getting some wood from construction sites and building a box out in the woods near my site. then cover it in garbage bags or something to camo it not too worried about people comming out there. I could then put the branches to hang in a cardboard box or just in the wood box. I also thaught the attick because no one would go in there so the smell should stay inside it and I could just hang the weed inside cardboard boxes and stackem with the storage boxes. hay rhino if you harvest anytime soon let me know how you do it.

if i was you id use the attic and check daily to see how fast its drying. i was thinking of running a rope between trees and setting up a series of tarps to keep it dry and in the shade. but i cant risk fucking all my bud up so i hope to find some positive results somewhere. otherwise ill have to work out something different

well. i wouldn't leave it at a friends house either. and while i have no experience drying outdoors, i suppose it's been done. wouldn't a lean-to in the middle of nowhere be a bit suspicious? i just did a google seach and that wasn't much help. you might try starting a new thread on the topic. there are some pretty seasoned growers in here. sorry i couldn't be of more help.

the more i think about it though the box method may be the best idea.

i already started a thread and only got one response from someone in the uk so their situation was different as far as climate and seasons. i posted in advanced maybe ill try basic

so how much do you think it would stink up an attick anyway i will be growing purple#1 and timewarp? it is ventalated and i have smoked in there and the smell goes away fast. it won't matter if its obvious there is weed in there as long as its not so strong it starts seeping through tiny cracks in the doors and vents

it depends on how many you got up there but it seems to me that the smell wouldnt seep down unless the whole attic was filled . if you only have a small portion of the attic used for drying i would think it would be diluted somewhat and if it did seep down it would mix with the rest of the air so fast nobady would notice. also u could setup a makeshift exhaust or fan system to blow out the strong smell

well i'm just getting started with 25 seeds so after I see what will germinate and what is a female i wont be too much unless i end up with some monsters so i guess i will use the attick

so you've smoked in the attic and the smell went away. fine and good. i'm assuming no one was downstairs at the time. growing marijuana, especially when you approach harvesting time, is a smelly business. the odor is pungent and noticeable. it sounds like you either live with your parents or in some kind of apartment. if it's the first, what will you do when they ask you what that smell is or the figure it is coming from the attic and simply go up and look. i'm not trying to rain on your parade -- but you need to think this thing through.
