I cannot wait.
Today instead of being high........... I am drunk at 1:00 in the afternoon! Sweet. On a lighter note. XBOX is going to make me the happiest man alive!

I already promissed myself that windows xp was going to be the last microsoft product I'll spend money on, so unless I find one in a dumpster I'll probably not be getting one of these systems.
Omun, get off the penguins dick :) just kidding...good OS, but come on.
I will def. be buying this system. Halo 3 is going to be UNREAL. And for all the people who criticize the Halo franchise because they think their gay computer games are better, have fun with your imaginary girlfriends. Halo 2 is the best game out. EVER. PERIOD.
Bollocks. What you guys need to remember is that Microsoft barely even have a lineup of release titles yet. They are relying on hype to sell (as they did with the Xbox) and personally, who cares about new graphics? Halo was a dead parrot, exactly the same as any other console FPS but with slightly nicer graphics, nothing a PC hadn't already beaten 3 years earlier.
Microsoft will get everyone worked up about the graphics so they forget about the games. The original fanboy strategy.
Now let's take NINTENDO! Obviously not the most popular choice right now, but totally original, totally revolutionary games (of which they don't sell out instantly to everyone else). They arn't releasing too much info, but their new console will have a brand new, pressure sensitive controller and (they promise) all kinds of new features that havn't been done before. They don't rely on convergence, or new technology like Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo have always been about the games, and continue to make the best. Do I need online gaming, a CD burner and DVD player? No, i've already got them thanks. I'd like a new, incredible GAMES console, and Nintendo will deliver.
Button, I know what you're saying...but online gaming is becoming very popular. It is the future grasshopper.
Cannot hear you Button...... LALALALALALALA....... I AM NOT LISTENING! Regardless of all those negative aspects. I like the portable aspect. Customisable features are nice aswell. i will be buying this new console. I started on nintendo, but i am 19 now. Never in a million years will i be buying a nintendo product. Kids can do that. I won't, i like my FPS'S and RPG's to kick my ass visually and plotly. It's going to be awhole new world of gaming (even thought it's possible on a PC).

Thought i'd come back now that i've read up on the 360 some more.
I have to say, and in fear of contradicting myself, the specs are very impressive. It will most definitely be the best looking console (unless they abuse it like they did with XBox resulting in slow, crummy looking games). I stand by my comments on the games. Alan Wake? Demonik? Condemned? They are ALL coming out on every other console or PC. Quake 4 and Call of Duty WILL be better (and cheaper) to play on PC.
Yippee, another Tony Hawks game, and Tomb Raider too. Just what we needed, more sequels. The thing with Microsoft is they're only strategy is to buy off developers. They'll have barely any games exclusive to the 360 (don't mention Halo, i'm aware they'll milk it for what it's worth).
As for multiplayer, you guys are aware Nintendo are planning a wireless, free online service with their console right? Xbox live will become ridiculously expensive and ultimately, nowhere near as good as PC multiplayer. PC prevails over all, does anyone really need to spend money on technology they already have for the sake of hype? Especially when a the games console lacks the games.
To be honest, I could care less that Nintendo make more kiddy games. Who gives a fuck? Do I need more blood to enjoy a game? Nope, I need entertainment and the most kiddyest of games on Gamecube were fricking great (Monkey Ball, Zelda, nothing like them on ANY other console). As you may have guessed, I have a PC :D ! I get all the violence and online fun I need from Half Life 2, Doom 3, soon Quake 5, etc, etc. The problem with the 360 is I see nothing new and games are about change for the better. If you guys wanna spend $400+ on something that you won't need and most likely won't stand the test of time (Xbox has been out for what? 3 years with something like 3 truly astounding games, which I can't think of right now), be my guest, be appeased. I'll be right next to the real-deal until they let me down, which they never, EVER have.
Amen!
XBOX 360 = Gaming's best console to date.
PC = Best overall
Greensworth = A game lover from birth to death. I have a great PC. I want a great Console. I want to have my friends to come over and kill eachother on my tv while laying on the couch stoned as hell. I want to be able to have a portable dvd/cd/gameconsole/mp3 player/overall good time in a box. It will be worth my purcasing. I accept your outlook on this upcoming god of console.
No hard feelings!?
P.S. --- I like you Button, your funny!
P.P.S --- I love you.
Lol, joker. No problem mate! Sorry to sound a dick, I wholly believe in each his own.
I just love games and Nintendo have always been my choice, since the days of the SNES. I like to think of myself as a gaming veteran, but I admit Xbox has quite a following and Nintendo are very much cut down in their prime.
My problem is I resent hype. It seems to dominate the industry nowadays and games seem to operate around a 'flavour of the month' basis. How many WW2 shooters have there been in the past year? Despite the competition, Nintendo remains original all the way and I love them for it :D . Everything else seems to be either graphics, convergence or both and that's not what games are about.
Then again, neither of us know just what the new consoles will be like. Who knows, PS3 might dominate over all upon release!! The best we can do is wait and see.
I'll be sure to admit I was wrong, should it be proven. ;)
