no he got the money and then he went crazy, he maybe went crazy cuz he never thought he would be able to get that type of money

Have some respect for the guy, I mean he finally got a profitable show on comedy central. He is really in need of help and I just hope in the future he can keep entertaining because he is very skilled. There is so much pressure that come on you when you have a prime time show that is worth millions for a season. It's not something he could screw up for that much money, he has to keep those pricks at comedy central pleased and the ratings up so cut the guy some slack.

wow I love Dave Chapelle too. I swear to god i've seen every single skit atleast 3 times and still laugh at them. I am not into hard drugs or realy ever experimented with them but still thought all those skits were hilarious.

The above site on cannabisnews.com kind of pisses me off because the author makes a ballsload of assumptions about dave chapelle that might be true and certianly might not. How do we know that he went to a mental institution for HARD DRUGS? I say this because it seems that the author of that article sure did seem to emphasize this. I just think its rediculous how someone can judge someone else without knowing them or any real facts.

With that said I've seen all of Daves skits and he mentions smooking reefer many times but never says he does hard drugs. Then again maybe he grew up in a place where people like Tyrone Biggims (the crackhead) really existed and its not really a reflection of Dave's life.

I think he broke down under all the pressure and fame...I would too. I just hope he has the courage and strengh after he recovers to keep making the great material that he does.

It's probably cause the guy can't go out in public without some moron goin like, "I'm rick james biiiiitchh". Hell, if I was him, I'd go crazy too.
