"the smell starting getting a little out of hand." Gee, if only everyone had that problem!
Any chance you could discuss your method there in more detail. This is a good example of what others should do. What do you use for air exchange, as it's one of the more important yet overlooked aspects of indoor growing.

Thanx for the reply M8.
I use a 4" 190cfm centrifugal (vortex) fan and a 4"x18" carbon filter. It just sets on a shelf and circulates the air in the room 24/7. I don't use it in the veg state, as the plants produce hardly any odor.
I have double filtration on my passive intake, first stage is a regular (horse hair) a/c filter and just inside the room is a small carbon ( flat) filter that keeps all my intake air filtered to keep out bugs and molds. I then have a small 3" axial fan that only operates when I need to vent some heat buildup. It discharges into the attic and has a filter on it as well (horse hair). The carbon filter exchanges the room once every 4 minutes and does a great job on capturing odors. I have to stick my nose right on the plant to get a whif of anything besides clean air. I keep the room slighly negative to contain the odors. A carbon filter is much less efficient in an area that has positive pressure. So make sure that you keep the area under a slight negative pressure and you will have much less trouble from odors permeating the house.
I know that within 10 minutes of turning off the carbon filter, it smells to high heaven in there and that is a risk that alot of growers need to avoid. You can hide a grow room easy enough, but that smell can linger and be tracked several houses down in a neighborhood if left unchecked.
Once the plants got around 4 weeks into flowering, I saw an epic increase in odor, especially a few minutes after lights out. My light is isolated from the room for cooling. I have a 120cfm axial fan and it pulls air from the garage, through the light and discharges into the attic. (6" cool tube 600w) This allows me to keep very tight reigns on my room temps and humidity.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Seems my new camera takes pics that are to big for the site, I have no troubles on other sites, just this one. Will have to see what I can do to shrink the size of the files to within the sites restrictions.
Harvested my oldest WW and she is in the drying room. Will be harvesting the others in a little over a week.
