 Well, PGS420, I am with jigg on this one! Been there done that! Slipped in the snow (with ice under it) last winter and won't do it anymore! Didn't fall, too old for it anymore! Won't do it again! Haven't figured out what to do with my place in the snow yet. Maybe, summer place! Kinda cool there, compared to a lot of places in the summer. But, I will watch the snow from afar, from now on!
Yeh! gotta agree about the 4x4's though. They actually, start sliding in the snow and ice before anything else. At least the small pick-ups. No traction, as you may well know, out there-you gotta put some weight in the back to get good traction. And not forget to turn on the 4WD. LOL. Knew someone that almost wrecked his on his way to work and thot, "hum, never even had it in 4WD and already wrecked."
Drove from Amarillo to West New Mexico border once, started snowing in Amarillo and was only a few inches in East AZ, so stopped and let my little dogs out to pee! I stopped many times, but they did not want to go in snow. Found a nice empty truck stop and put my little boy down and he did not move, peed for 5 minutes! Hard to find motels with pups in the early '90's. Drove in it for 21 hours following a snow plow most of way! Long drive home!:woohoo:
