Nobody mentions state's rights in all of this.

The Right, where support should come for limited government intervention, has too many greasy palms it seems to get it right on this issue.

It is starting to look like the war for legalization may start in Colorado. With ASA forging the war. Due to the law in Colorado establishing the method for safe access and tax benefit for the Gov't.: With the smaller population of CO and the 'people' pro-marijuana the fight for legalization will likely be in Colorado.

:420thought:In CA the mmj community was divided, seriously. The Store Front vs the People (patients and users). Now, that the Store Fronts are all but shut down. Everyone is begining to unite, again! Unfortunately, that is a day late. . . The collectives and suppliers are in no way helping ASA or NORML for legal battles. ASA in CA has reduced its' staff and closed an additional day a week, just to remain open.

It is my personal thought, that the collectives (etc) have benefited greatly from Store Fronts and are either in their own legal battle and not concerned of legalization due to the large profits. Which are ending, as we click!

Now, I want to move to Colorado.:jointsmile: It is unlikely, that Colorado will allow the feds to do much there. Due to the large increase in tax and jobs to the state.

I like your view of things.

There certainly are a number of private caregivers (many used to post here, some still do) who oppose the 2012 initiative to regulate like alcohol, but not as widespread as in Cali.

It's going to come down to how many people get out and actually vote. Typical supporters of MJ are not the best when it comes to turnout (students) vs. its opponents (stodgy, old ideologues), but we'll just have to see how it plays out.

It's good that it's a presidential election year (definitely not accidental) as that will bring more voters out.

I am against the bill, but will vote for it. just to see more widespread use and to have another opinion of the voters behind us, perhaps the med community would be left more alone. I bet the feds would concentrate on neew commercial ops aimed at rec users.
