Yea... but you're growing OUTSIDE, whereas, alas, I am forced to grow within the confines of my back porch - and within only a limited section of that. So I guess you take the 'limbs' and build a 'bonnie bonfire' to give your garden a homey atmosphere? ;) Ok, Un-huh - but you're getting one crop a year, and I'm looking for 3-4.Quote:

I (jokingly) offered her an outboard motor I have (boy would it be a blessing if she went for THAT in trade) - but in reality I intend to offer services in my field of expertise. The worst she can say is 'No', right?
A month ago I had no idea as to how to tell the difference between a male and a female plant. I was 'satisfied' with the 'potting soil' on sale at the grocery and thought I was going to make great accomplishments with 4 eight inch pots. BOY! Was I "STOOOOOPIIID"! But I'm learning.
So you recommend I just 'let it grow' at this point? Ok, I can do that. I've learned not to water every day. I guess I can learn patience next. I've made it from killing rock gardens to having flowers that even I can clearly identify. Not too bad of a first step.
I only grow inside and harvest every four months; using dual 400 HPS/CMH lights in a 2x4 closet...;)
One of the best pieces of equipment you can own is a simple moisture meter. $7.
It has a 8 inch metal probe; and a scale that reads DRY-MOIST-WET.
You can see it in this pic......:stoned:
Got one. Mine also does PH and light.... Looks very similar to yours except it has a little switch and a light sensor on the front. BIG help. I now water when it indicates the soil in the first stages of 'dry'. It was that meter that led me to realize the plants were root bound as the largest was getting drenched every night and dry again the next.Quote:

I dunno why I thought you were growing outdoors. Senility I guess Happens when you get old and stoned. Shame to see you've reached the stages where you can't remember where your plants are. ;)
As for me... What were we talking about? :wtf:
D'Pimp...
What'd I do? Run you off with a little bit of teasing?
I really expected a reply.
sorry...I'm here...what's the question?...cutting off leaves?...don't do that.Quote:

Yes, I ran it through Photoshop, but only to re-size, crop and save for the web. I did not "enhance" it in any manner.
:) I rec'on it'd be safe to call this is a female :)
(I'm not asking for confirmation on it's sex, I KNOW what it is!)
PushIt & DutchPimp;
I'd like to thank you both for your help I couldn't have done this without your guidance.
Here's where it stands today. I think I'm at about 3-4 weeks from harvest, but I can't say as the microscope I've ordered hasn't arrived yet. BTW... Radio Schmuck no longer caries hand held illuminated microscopes, but I found a 45x on Amazon for $7.22 and free shipping from some "Hobby Tool Supply".
I was hoping that microscope would be here today, but.... As this is something grown from bag seed, I have no "name" for it. I guess I'll just have to call it something fancy... Maybe like.... uhhh... lemme think... I know!! HomeGrown! :)
I've been reading (lurking) on the other threads about "when to harvest" and my intention is to wait till I'm seeing predominately amber trichomes. In some of the images I've taken, I can see the balls on the top of the trichomes, but their color?? - - Not a clue. But then, that's what the microscope is for.
Attached is an image taken about an hour ago. It was taken at 14Mpx using just the zoom for macro. I've done nothing but re-size it. I personally think it's a real nice picture.
To be previously labeled a "plant murderer", I can only credit this success on your help. Thanks again!
Looks Great!...
Now, comes the hard part...when to harvest.
more amber ....takes several more weeks
Looking good:thumbsup:
Have you had any luck with your hps search?
