A long time, for me at least, was approximately 18 years. Since at least 1993 until April 10th of this year.
Today makes day 105 without smoking, and I am still testing dirty. I just can't believe it. I'm so screwed. I'm in constant pain from my spinal issues and this cyst growing on my spinal cord and even though my pain management doctor wasn't blaming me for smoking, the law here in FL is the law...... I failed 2 of his tests, and 2 strikes and I'm out. Now I have to find a new pain management doctor and somehow get clean. I don't know what to do. I've cut back on the bad sugars and carbs but have not lost much weight. I've been eating a lot of fresh fruits, the cherries and plums and strawberries right now have been incredibly delicious, not to mention the watermelons my husband grew in his garden. Hundreds of melons. I nearly ate melon every day in June and July! LOL
I can't even get a faint line to appear on the tests I've been using. The control line shows up nice and bright red, but I can't even get a faint line.
In late June I had bladder surgery and it took me up until about a week ago to completely heal from that. I had to take these pain meds for the bladder and urethra that turned my urine a startling orange/red color, and I tried a test or two during that time also, and still nothing. I was honest with my Urologist and explained to him my predicament and asked him if he thought maybe my bladder/renal problem might be causing me to show up dirty still, but he said no.
Well, there was person, a guy on here, who I think weighed something like 380 lbs or near that, and I think if I remember correctly, it took him 107 days to test clean. I'm 215 now, and day 105 and I'm still hot. I guess I've smoked for so long that every fat cell in my body has THC in it, LOL.
Just amazing...........
Hi all, please take time to read my other post, and you'll understand that I am disabled, and under pain management for burst and leaking spinal discs, plus I have a 4 inch cyst growing ON my spinal cord, so I am on a lot of heavy narcotics, and can't move around much. I am 42, a female, and weight about 215. I have not smoked now since April 10, 2011, approximately 108 days.
I have purchased many dip tests through Amazon.com (and they are extremely affordable, under $1 each!) from different manufacturers to make sure I get a good 'control' going. I have failed and failed over and over again. I have tried taking GoldenSeal, which didn't help, and have been taking cranberry supplements also, not just for this, but also because I recently had bladder surgery in June.
No one can hardly believe that after all this time, and I swear to Buddha, that I have not smoked, but I have not, nor have I been around anyone who has. I HAD been a very heavy smoker, wake n bake till sleep for over 15 years, probably 18 years. Since I have been disabled since birth due to blindness, I don't have a job and so I sat around every day, stuck at home, alone, lonely, and smoked.
What do you guys think?
And what are your ideas about those swab tests they do if you can't pee? Before my bladder surgery, it would sometimes take me nearly 45 minutes before I could pee. I had to have a drug test at my pain mgmt clinic now that the laws here in FL have recently changed, and of course, I failed it. They let me re-test after 43 days, and to my surprise, I failed again. Now, it's day 108 and after taking another one of these dip tests I bought, I failed again. Not even a faint line appears on the test.
Any ideas??? Thoughts? Thank you.
The majority of OTC testing kits are inaccurate around 70% of the time - about 2 out of 3 are defective (this is according to two of my former probation officers.)
The odds of all that you purchased being bunk is slim, but still there.
I truly doubt it, because I have bought over 20 so far, several dip stick types, several that only tested for THC, some that tested for 3 things, and I have also bought a few of the CUP drug test kits, where you actually pee into the cup and then push a key in to activate it. So I highly doubt that all of these different tests from different companies are ALL coming up wrong. Thanks for your thoughts anyhow.
I have even had 2 of my friends test their own urine using a couple of these tests, and they came out accurate for them, so why not for me? I highly doubt they are innacurate just because your PO states so. Besides, they are made by the same companies Quest uses.
Don't listen to someone's anecdotal evidence... you must still be hot. It happens especially with sedentary chronic wake and bakers. If you are able to get up and about go pay for your own THC screen at your nearest lab so you can see, in black and white, how you are doing. Save your time and money and stay away from the goldenseal and similar products, they don't work. The only thing that will expedite your becoming clean would be fat burning exercise which you aren't seemingly able to do.
Webdox, I DID go to my nearest testing lab and have them check me and they used the same dipstick tests I have been buying. I didn't learn a thing and it cost me over $20 to do so, which is a small chunk for me, someone who is making due with a disability income. They weren't able to tell me anything, and this is the same people my physician uses where he sends his patients off to have them tested.
Quit using a dipstick test, they're some of the worst out there and are easily fooled by differing body chemistries. You need a full blood or urine analysis.Quote:

Sorry, but there are MULTIPLE factors that make home kits unreliable.
Go to Quest Diagnostics and get a test done there. Accept nothing else. Home kits are a waste and are easily fooled by even a simple vitamin supplement.
I DID go to Quest Diagnostics. Tested positive.
I also pee'd into a 10 panel cup that where the tech holds the 'key' which has to be inserted to activate the test. Still positive. I don't take supplements, only pain meds and hypertension meds.
I am stumped.
Sorry khyberkitsune, some of us posting here either work in labs themselves or in hospital ER's where urine screening is done all the time and know better. Real world knowledge of urine screening trumps the "Separated Parenting Access & Resource Center's" outdated drug 101 information every time. We use the SAME products that are sold online. These tests are NOT, as you claim, easily fooled. False positives are a thing of the past. As long as the strips weren't expired or defective, they were accurate.
