personally, I don't give a fuck about making money. I don't make money, I've never made money, and I never will. I have a job. I don't need weed money to live. Maybe you think I'm an exception, but in the REAL cannabis caregiver world, I am not.

The limit of how much I can lose is real. I don't care even one bit about profitability or charging for extra services. I use the best of everything - nutes and medium and products. I can do that for 6 plants or 30. I don't benefit at ALL by serving my patients except for being able to maintain genetic diversity. I can only fit 12 in flower anyway. I love cannabis and what it's done for our lives, and money has zero to do with it.

really, I'm not going to get fucked by this. I will comply. People who aren't as blessed as me will lose.

edit: and as for CTI, they seem to have their values most in line with mine. Nobody is perfect, but they are closest for me. Nobody else is really sticking up for mmj patients here.

You sound like you're coming around. Obviously, if your wife is one of your patients, you have more than a profit-based interest in providing the best marijuana. I'm a pro-regulation liberal guy, but I would support any exceptions, any exemptions that allowed small growers like yourself to serve more patients who needed your meds. Hell, I don't even think non-commercial growers should even have to register with the state as caregivers. However, (and this is the rub) when caregivers sell marijuana beyond their family and friends, they really aren't caregivers any more, but businesses... and that means taxes, regulation etc. Kathleen, for example, sold pot to thousands of people, but isn't willing to go through the state licensing process and inspection regime! Nuts!

You've still never satisfactorily explained why cannabis is deserving of regulation of any kind. Or is it that you believe the government should be able to regulate "because it's there?" I guess if liberty is seen as having no value , in a cost/benefit analysis of regulation, liberty as a cost will always lose out to regulation, even if the benefits of regulation are marginal, uncertain, or even non-existent.

Whats nuts is one moment the state is saying marijuana is bad, put you in jail for years over it and steal everything you own through forfeiture, then the next moment saying its ok ONLY if you give us money, otherwise its still bad. I'm not psychic but I'm pretty sure when voters voted in A20 it wasnt for people to be wiping other peoples asses.

I think, not to put words in anyones mouth, the argument is that once they move into business sector they should be regulated like many businesses are.

For me, the major reason commercial growers should face regulation and inspection is consumer protection. I'm concerned with three areas in particular: contamination, patient privacy, and honesty in labeling and measurement. We know MMCs sell moldy and pestilential medication. We should promulgate regs that prevent and punish this behavior. We know MMCs have misused and misplaced confidential data. I don't have any interest at all in regulating non-commercial sales between caregivers and their patients, but businesses open to the public should have to comply with the rules and standards of their community, from the city fire code to the 14th Amendment as other businesses do.

Goverenment regulates everything to death why should we expect different.

Highpop you often make some good points, but in the end nothing good will really become of all this.They are taking away everyones freedoms as fast as they can and everywhere they can.How can anyone welcome this?
