Their are so many of us in this with this same experience....maybe someone should start a thread geared toward the reality of where Pain Killers and MMJ meet...I for one had the same horrible experiences (..and ex USN). But currently and have been for about a year with only MMJ, although I am finding ingesting it has a much more benficial effect for me in particulair. In previous years I was a slave to a painkiller/muscle relaxer regimen. Polarboy is wise find a knowledgeable and reliable caregiver...good luck

I want off the Tramadol and the shots help but for how long??? no one knows?? Along the way, I have developed what the doctors call "nerve pain" 24/7. Burning and aches in joints, legs, arms, etc. in addistion to lower back pain. Now the question?? Am I a candidate for medical marijuana use? How does it work in replacment of other pain meds.?? Right now I am totally functional...will medical marijuana change this???
Sorry for the "silly" questions....any help appreciated.

Hey man, First and foremost, Medical Marijuana affects all people differantly... it may or may not work for you. Your plan of action would be to discuss this option with your doctor. This should be done carefully and cautously, no doctor wants to think of their patient smoking, so definately explore the options of vaporizing and orally administering it such as capsules of oil or tinctures, even edibles.
Contact RIPAC or ASA for a community support group to help educate you on how this treatment works.
Best of luck, Hope you continue to recovery successfully
