if you add three fans to a 12 v adapter the fans will not move i bet. Fans that run at 12 V sometimes can run with a 9v adapter they just spin slower. Look around the house for old electronics with those adapters. cable modems, old answering machines for more adapters for each fan.

I've got two HO fans on one adapter and they run just fine. They run just as fast as the fans in my PC too.
It reads 60Hz 100mA if that helps. IDK what it was for, I just guessed it'd work when I bought it.
hghfly, what is the Hz and mA on the adapter you got?

so two fans, does that mean they are running on 6 volts a piece? Been sometime since I played with those fans and micro grows. will two fans split up the 12 volts? so you add another and the voltage drops 4 volts a fan?

:wtf:
:beatdeadhorse:
I told ya that already.
Actually, my first fan/adapter run was a DIY laptop cooling pad.
LOL I used a empty box that my MOBO came in and just cut holes where I wanted, used fat screws with washers to mount the fans and wired em up. The two 80mm fans both had 3 LED lights and the 12v adapter was kinda too much for em, they made a lot of noise. I ended up switching it to a 9v adapter to keep em quiet. Even at 9v the two fans with LEDs ran more than fine
:D

You prob got a short somewhere while in transit.
Triple and quadruple check every wire.
