I simply don't have the time to attend the town hall meetings, since I also have a full time job and support my family (single income,)

Is there anything I can do to help the cause with what limited time and finances I have?

I met with a boulder dispensary owner yesterday who is on the 12 person panel chosen by DOR to represent dispensaries in the rule making process. They meet on wedensdays and it is open to the public. I got a list from her (some of it her personal notes) of expected violations and consequences.
I could email the list to you if you want. One thing that was decided was plants under 12" are not included in your plant count. This is great for clones.
The DOR does want our money but they are also giving us a chance to be heard in the rule making process because they do not know anything about cultivation and they do not want to make rules which would prevent these businesses from operating and paying their taxes. :hippy:

really, plants under 12" don't count? that could be the most reasonable concession we've ever seen from them.

how and when does anything that happens at these meetings get put into effect?

But I can see it now, they give the 12" rule then some fool is going to go on the news with his 600 micro-grow plants, bragging about all the money he's going to make, while being set-up next to an elementary school.

one thing about easing up on the rules and criminal penalties they might consider is - if the rules were all MUCH MORE REASONABLE, it would likely be the end of the overall legalization movement here. As it is, Legalize 2012 in Colorado is a response to CO1284, and we know statewide, right now, it would pass. We have much better potential of success than California, with a much better margin going in.

Nothing is in writing yet. it is still part of the "rule making hearings". I am going to the next meeting and I will post the printouts.
