I didn't do the original post - never saw it. lampost asking about it caught my eye this morning when I looked at board. Think of a three part cigarette - half is the battery, another quarter is the burner, last quarter is a small receptacle that is the end cap of the "cigarette" - in there nicotine users (and hash oil users) place a little sponge thing to hold liquid. Instead, I just put a piece of hash in end of the receptacle closest to burner section so it gets heat..
I got a Magic Flight too Steve and it is great for herb. I love it. SO subtle - as you say the company has great vibe. No moving parts, thing is cool - tastes woody and herby. Little load in trench gets me wasted. Make sure you get full kit they give you - I saw where some got stripped down kit - company is so cool they are sending whatever was lacking.
hey Steve, Buddha Man, Lampost- any of you wanna test run it I can meet for coffee and etc. I am free most weekdays in my laid off post-high tech sales world. I'm 55, been smoking herb most of my life, and don't know much of the growing and varied expertise side of the herb world as do you and many here. I have enjoyed reading and learning from your posts - and have been impressed with your genuine niceness, and it'd be a privilege to meet some of you in person as I am a bit of a loner now with my high tech "friends" gone along with the job.

@ Ottis- You mean they have the Magic Flight or the EJay?
@ Mesinco- Thanks for the heads up on the MF. And yeah, it would be cool to get together. I know Lamp is a good guy. My schedule is wacky and full, but we'll make it happen. I love making new friends.
peace.

Steve,I meant magic-flight but they have both.I to am thinking about the magic-flight .was in heads of state last week and looked at it,it seems pretty cool.If you do buy one and go to the store on west colfax ,( Heads of State has been open since 1979 the owner is in his early 60s and very cool) I live very close to the colfax store could meet you there and I would buy one when you are ready, and then come to my house to try.

I think Fatwallet has them for like $90 (Total Package) shipped.
i got mine at heads of state for $90. it's novel; not the most ideal piece ever, but it will certainly do in a pinch. i tend to have both black and green in the duff.
i also had an iolite and i prefer the launch box a million to one.

I have the iolite too. It's ok but there is definitely room for improvement. I emailed the company my suggestions. Got a thank you reply only so far.

for what's available today, i'd by the flight box twice again...
they can keep the iolite, but the flight box has a specific place in my arsenal, for sure!

I'm freaking drooling! Glad to know I can get it here in town.

I love my launch box. It will char and eventually burn the herb if you hold the battery in too long, but once you get a feel for it it works quite well.
It is very stealthy, if you don't use the stem extension the whole thing can be cupped in the hands, and it pretty much looks like you are just blowing on them to warm them up, or maybe praying. ;)
The only real complaint I have is that it doesn't work well at sub freezing temperatures. No problem for most people, but I spend a lot of time outside in the winter.
