Starting Hydro Grow, is my seedling healthy?
Here's a pic of a really bad leaf near at the bottom of the plant.
Could this be a phosphorous deficiency? Some stems do seem a bit red...
This isn't really representative of the rest of the plant (see above pic) but some leaves look like they're also headed down this road...

Might also be Mg, just dump and start fresh with the Calmag and watch for signs

Okay...so I think we need to address this here. Adding cal-mag will not fix your old growth. It will only make sure the new growth will not experience the same problem. When possible, take those crappy looking leaves off (they can lead to molds, etc....when you leave them around. Just the maintenance piece of growing.
Cal-mag was the issue...it was locking out all of your nutes...and now you should be fine. Give us an update in a week...If the problem persists. The answer would then be your PH. Some strains like querkle, grape ape, and p kush...always need LOOOOOOW PH levels. 5.2-5.7 would be perfect during VEG! It all depends on your environment, water source, medium, nutes, and strain.
Enjoy your first seedling man...Even my first hydro grow from seed is on here. God damn did I make some rookie mistakes!:D
Good job so far and Good luck!:hippy:

i have a recoomendation for you and your new seedling. once it pops up get the seedling into it is perminate growing pot as soon as possible. your seedling is going send out its tap root. the tap root is the plants first anchor root and if it just curled up under your cube it is the first part of stress in ts bery early life. we all know stress is bad for your plant.
studies have shown that if that tap root is allowed to curl up under neather it is more likely you will have a male plant. so the sooner you can get it into its home the better off you will be. the better off the plant will be. so take a few minutes once you see the seed pop get it to it home right away,
i grow in rockwool using 3 inch net pots filled with aquarium or pea gravel. i soak my cudes in a 25% solution of ces nutes( it has a ph buffer in it to bring my water to 6.5) rockwool has a ph over 8 so soaking it bring the ph down to the recommended 6.5.) i will get the pots ready adding my gravel and cube then fill in around the cube making sure it is strudy and ready to go. i then put the seed in the cube and cover with a dome.
this way if i have a good seed and it pops then it in its perminate home and all i have to do is move it into my system. i never have to touch any part of the seedling again.

WOW MAN...6.5...you are growing some PH forgiving strains. Read up Sir...thats too high from clone or seedling. Even during veg state recommended is 5.5-6.0 (and 6.0 is high for most strains in this stage). If you doubt my expertise in this matter...I suggest you take a look at my projects.

Exactly what he said.
I've always read and been told that 5.2-5.7 is optimal pH range for most plants...

read up some more guys. i am hydro grower and 6.5 is the optium ph for the mj plant to utilze all the necessary nutes we add.if you get it to acidic you will burn your roots. i am not sure about dirt but 6.5 is the correct pn for hydro

here is a chart for you use if you dont believe me wen i tell you 6.5

the reason we suppliment cal mag is that a plant needs a 5.0 ph to use it at optium levels. if we lower our ph down that far we block out other more important nutes
