yea me too where i live we dunno what is 420(well now i know but before i didnt know wtf it was). wonder why its just known in USA and those^places

I am not sure but I think 4-20 started as the code used by the US police for smoking MJ

4:20 is the time of day that most pot smokers begin their sessioning.

According to a story in High Times smoking at 420 specifically was started by some stoners over in northern Cali. in the late 70's, and just spread from there. They also said that it was only a myth that 420 was police code for somewhone smoking weed. I hope this clears up some confusion
