I am concerned, are you serious, two years to get a card?? One only has to look at Jim and know he is in pain and suffers daily.
You can become legal right away once the doctor signs the recomendation you are legal. You only have to wait for the RED card that long. They will give you temporary paper work to use until that time comes. However there is a lot of fraud going on because of the back log and the ease of just copying the paper work they give you. They already had many cases because of this and added more staff and pumped a couple more million into getting caught up. They will be processing more paper work quicker now and of course the more they do the better they get. The Department of Revenue is who handles this now if i remember correctly.

The two years wait that went into effect July 1 (I think) is for those who wish to open a dispensary or what is now called a Medical Marijuana Center (MMC for short). I haven't read, hear or seen anything that states a patient must wait two years (though that might be how long it takes for one to receive their card - but you can still medicate in the meantime)
Thanks so much! That sounds more reasonable. OK, another one. How much per month is a patient allowed? I ask this because of your law changes. Two ounce a month? Here in Illinois it will be only one ounce a month. Don't even get me started on this law that may pass, very very strict and probably will be the strictest of all.
As a patient you are legally allowed to posess up to 2 ounces, there is no monthly limit. A patient could go every day and get two ounces if they wanted.
